Spring Newsletter

Art is the expression of the profoundest thoughts in the simplest way.
 – Albert Einstein

The Good News Is:  The Whitewater Arts Alliance has been enthusiastically received in the community and area.  Ideas for activities and related events have surpassed our expectations.

The Bad News Is:  We are a new organization with a need for both financial and physical support.  While we are eager to expand the artistic possibilities for Whitewater we also want to maintain the quality of what we do and support.  With this in mind, our ability to do more will be directly related to the financial and physical support of our membership and the community.

Mark your calendars for:

Our monthly meetings are scheduled for the second Tuesday of the month at 7 P.M. at the Cravath Lakefront Building.  (This will be subject to change based on the availability of speakers and programs.  We will run information ads in the Good Morning and send out e-mails for changes.)

Our April meeting will be on Wednesday, April 13 from 4-6 P.M. at the Cravath Lakefront .  come and hear Anne Katz  from Arts Wisconsin and George Tzougros from the Wisconsin Arts Board will discuss how local arts can impact economic development in communities.

Our May Meeting will be on Tuesday, May 10 at 7 P.M. at Cravath Lakefront Building.  We will be viewing “Downside Up” – a video presentation about a small east coast community that turns its economy around by establishing a gallery and promoting the arts in their community and in the area.

The first Sunday of every month there is an artists’ reception and opening at the Double Dip Deli from 1- 4 P.M.  Show your support by attending these openings.
