My project work was born from my love of photography, aging architecture, and the community.

I set out in 2012 to simply walk the city (of Milwuakee) and take a few photos of the area and found that some of the simpler beauties were part of what really makes a community.

Over the years, I have turned those simple loves into a project that incorporates salvaged and reclaimed materials to frame my work and to give my photography a more powerful presentation. It is this unique framing, layering of materials and the images themselves that make my artwork intriguing to the viewer.

I worked my way to Whitewater in 2019 to take photos of certain iconic buildings and signs as I prepped for an exhibition at Roberta’s Art Gallery at the University, and as I participated in a collaborative art project installed at the University Center.

I am grateful to be back in Whitewater—working with the Whitewater Arts Alliance. Enjoy the show!
