This November, the Whitewater Arts Alliance unveils Artist Family Extraordinaire, an exhibition that blends professional artistry with deep family ties. Opening with a public reception on Saturday, November 14, from 1–4 p.m., the show highlights five artists whose work spans watercolor, woodblock printing, photography, acrylic, oil, and performance‑based creativity.
Though each artist has exhibited nationally, their connection is uniquely personal: all five are linked through three siblings—Jim Miller, Bob Miller, and Marcia (Miller) Bohnsack—making this exhibition a rare family‑centered artistic collaboration.
The featured artists include:
Charlotte Fung Miller, celebrated for her traditional Chinese brush‑painting technique.
Ben Bohnsack, woodblock printmaker and former Methodist minister.
Chris Miller, photographer with decades of experience in environmental management.
Kimbirdlee, multidisciplinary performer and watercolor artist.
Matt Miller, painter of inspirational landscapes and accomplished musician.
Ben Bohnsack will be leading a Block Print Workshop prior to the reception, with registered participants gathering from 9am-12pm on November 14 at the Cultural Arts Center. The workshop fee is $35 and includes all materials. Registration is available at whitewaterarts.org, and space is limited, so early sign‑up is encouraged.
The reception, held at the Cultural Arts Center, 402 W Main St, will offer refreshments and an opportunity to meet the artist family. The public is warmly invited to attend.
