The Whitewater Arts Alliance (WAA) is pleased to present the 2026 Whitewater Unified School District Art Show, an annual exhibition that highlights student creativity and reflects the district’s guiding belief: “Every Student, Every Day, in a Unified Way.” The exhibition runs from April 2–26, 2026 at the Cultural Arts Center, 402 W. Main Street in Whitewater, and features artwork from K–12 students across the district in a variety of media and styles.
This year’s show also includes artwork created during a special intergenerational workshop where young preschool children and older adults, including from Fairhaven Senior Services, painted rocks together, exploring color and texture in a shared creative activity. The focus of the painting project was positive messaging.
The Whitewater Unified School District Art Show is consistently one of the most well‑attended and anticipated exhibitions of the year, drawing hundreds of visitors. A reception and awards ceremony will be held on Saturday, April 25 from 12pm–3pm, with light refreshments, opportunities for sidewalk chalking outside the CAC, and a brief dance performance by UW-Whitewater dance instructor Celia Weiss-Bambara and some of her dance students.
The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public, and community members are invited to attend and support the work of local students and participating artists.
The WAA would like to thank the art teachers from all five schools in the WUSD for their participation and collaboration, in addition to art show chairs Susie Belzer, Camden Harlan, and Dwight Watson.
