November 14 • Cultural Arts Center • 12pm-4pm
Children from 10-17 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The Block Print Workshop gives participants a chance to learn the basics of relief printing. Bohnsack will demonstrate carving, inking, and printing techniques and guide attendees through creating their own prints. The workshop fee is $35, and all materials are provided. Registration is available at whitewaterarts.org.
Later that afternoon, the Cultural Arts Center will hold the reception for Artist Family Extraordinaire, an exhibition featuring five artists who are all connected through family relationships. The show highlights how artistic interests and skills can develop across generations and within shared family environments.
Bohnsack’s woodblock prints appear alongside work by four other family‑connected artists, offering visitors a look at how each person’s style and medium differ while still reflecting shared influences. The exhibition includes watercolor, photography, woodblock printing, and acrylic painting.
“Ben’s workshop is a great way for people to learn a hands‑on technique and then see how he applies it in his own work,” said the Whitewater Arts Alliance. “It also ties in naturally with the Artist Family Extraordinaire exhibition, which shows how creativity can run through a family in many different forms.”
The Alliance welcomes community members to attend both the workshop and the exhibition reception.
This workshop takes place at the Cultural Arts Center, 402 W Main St Whitewater, WI 53190.
