STORYTELLING WITH GEOLOGY EXIBITION

FEATURING DR. JUK BHATTACHARYYA’S STUDENTS

Exhibition :: September 1 - 24, 2023 | Reception :: September 2, 2023

The Whitewater Arts Alliance (WAA) is working in collaboration with the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater’s Geography, Geology, and Environmental Science professor Dr. Juk Bhattacharyya. During Whitewater’s storytelling month, Dr. Juk’s GEOLGY 296 students will showcase projects featuring story maps revolving around the geology of local rock formations. Both the exhibition and reception will be at the Cultural Arts Center--402 West Main Street, Whitewater, WI 53190—and both are free to attend.

The reception will be Saturday, September 2, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the CAC. This is free to attend with light refreshments provided. We encourage friends and family to learn about each students’ project, ask questions, and enjoy the atmosphere.

The gallery will be open Thursdays thru Sundays, 12:00 (noon) to 4:00 PM. The exhibition will be available in-gallery only with only small snippets available online.
